This C++ version of BAT is still being maintained, but addition of new features is unlikely. Check out our new incarnation, BAT.jl, the Bayesian analysis toolkit in Julia. In addition to Metropolis-Hastings sampling, BAT.jl supports Hamiltonian Monte Carlo (HMC) with automatic differentiation, automatic prior-based parameter space transformations, and much more. See the BAT.jl documentation.

This version of BAT includes many updates. The major improvements are:
- new installation procedure based on autoconf/automake - usage of Cuba is now optional but still recommended
- possibility to run BAT interactively from within ROOT
- added 'fast fitter' classes for graph fitting, histogram fitting and efficiency fitting allowing to do these basic types of fits with minimal effort
- added lots of checks and warning printouts
- MCMC now better tuned
- some bugfixes and extensive code cleanup
If you have been using previous version of BAT, we recommend update to the latest version.
